I doubt there are many places in the world where one can operate a car as a maritime mobile station!

Of course, if you're thinking of doing the same thing, remember:

Wow, I can't get my car that close....well I can but only when I want to dump the car ;-). Excellent take off angle for shure this way hihi. By the way I rarely sign as /QRP, /M or any other sign. The other station doesn't have to know and if you want to tell it you can do it afterwards via e-mail. AT least that's my opinion. Unless you notice that a particular DX station is specifically calling for QRP stations of course... 73, Bas
ReplyDeleteHa ha! So they used to dump cars that way in the Netherlands, too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes, using extensions is problematic, mainly from a logging point of view. Do you just mix in spectacular QRP contacts and forget how you did it with your main log, or keep them separated? I just use /p for everything now. It has a slight attraction value for other stations, and with FT8, it all gets passed to the correct log, rather than my past, main log. SSB is another story, but at least you can tell them how to log it (my QRZ.com page also prominently advises of this!)
The problem indeed is logging. I find it to complicated to make separate logs voor my /P activities. I've done it in the past and my eQSL account is full of all kind of /P operations, I lost the overview. I've done LOTW as well but you really get mixed up all the time. I've seen this with other stations as well. The only time I use /P is when I use 2 WSPR stations at the same time just to separate them. However I agree sometimes the suffix does attract stations. 73, Bas
